The New England Institute of Faux Finishing, Inc. is owned and operated by James Martin.  James received his initial training in oils by the renowned Joe Meir in Dallas, Texas.  He was later introduced to the Faux Effects® approach to decorative finishing, using strictly water based products.  After training at Faux Effects’®

headquarters in Vero Beach, Florida, he has spent the past several years duplicating the refined looks which were previously achieved only with oil paints.

 Currently James is applying his expertise in faux finishing to custom homes throughout New England, including the 2004 Boston Magazine Design Home, located in Hopkinton, Massachusetts.
